Ashridge Karate Academy (AKA) is a Goju Ryu Karate club based at Ashlyns School Dojo, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, with classes for juniors and adults.

The club is run by Sensei John Foster, who is a 3rd Dan black belt, and is affiliated with Goju-Ryu Karate-Do International (GKI) association.

There are two classes each Thursday evening - Juniors (all levels)  and Seniors (teenagers and adults).  The club is open to anyone aged 7 years and above. Come and join us !

Training at AKA karate club is based on traditional Okinawan training techiques - including kata, kumite and bag work as well as incorporating take downs and locks.

The aim is to improve both the mind and body, by applying techniques developed over many generations across the globe.  Read more about AKA.
